Dr. Marcus van Dam
Dr Van Dam first trained and worked as a Paramedic before studying Medicine at the University of Aachen (RWTH), Germany. Here he carried out and published research in Molecular Biology (MD) before completing the practical part of his medical training in Berlin (Free University). Dr Van Dam qualified as a doctor in 1997. He gained his UK GMC registration in 1998, the Diploma of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (DRCOG) in 2000, and completed his GP Training in Scarborough in 2002. After that he worked as a Locum GP in practices in the Whitby and Scarborough area until he joined Danby Surgery in April 2004. He gained the Diploma in Practical Dermatology in 2007, and has recently started to involve himself in GP Commissioning within the Hambleton, Richmondshire and Whitby Consortium. Dr. David Gilmore
Dr Gilmore qualified at Sheffield University in 1991. Diploma of Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists 1996. Completed GP training in Harrogate. Member Royal College GP's 2000. Diploma in Psychiatric Studies 2008. Did a Law degree with Open University completing in 2005 (LLB Hons) . Worked as a Doctor in Australia four times and is a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of GP's 2014. Dr Gilmore joined the team at Danby Surgery in 2017.
